About

Latorsha Peake is a health coach and self care bestie who helps busy moms, primary caregivers, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and women just like you, carve out time to prioritize their own wellbeing. Growing up in a tightknit family in the south, Latorsha was surrounded by women who were always taking care of everybody else. She doesn’t have many examples of these women putting themselves first, even when their own health was at risk. Latorsha also spent many years of her life enjoying traditional Southern cuisine, lots of fried and starchy foods. However, she maintained an active lifestyle and at her lowest adulthood weight appeared to be her healthiest nonetheless. But when Latorsha ultimately found herself diagnosed with high blood pressure around 2014, it was then she took a hard look at her level of stress, anxiety, and the foods she had been feeding herself and her family. It was then she really began to focus on changing the generational habits in her life.

While reflecting on the health outcomes of other women she encountered as a Registered Nurse and the women in her own family, it didn’t take much thereafter for Latorsha to realize that a lifestyle change was imminent. She has overcome her own health challenges through mindful eating, stress reduction, regular physical activity, and prioritizing her self care needs. Today, in addition to her career as an RN, Latorsha is a Certified Health Coach, Certified Fitness Instructor, Weight Management and Behavioral Change Specialist. She enjoys cultivating self-care practices for women, helping them stay accountable, and to show up as their best self everyday. She helps women to advocate for their health and self care needs.

Latorsha is the creator of Iced Coffee & Self Care ® podcast. As a Registered Nurse and Certified Health Coach, she definitely understands the health risks of not taking care of yourself. After starting her Health Coaching business in 2016, she recognized that there wasn’t enough discussion and support that focused on the overall self care needs for women. It was very apparent that self care was much bigger than the number on a scale as she discovered many layers that need to be addressed in order to help women get back on their own to do list. Latorsha doesn’t believe there is an one size fits all when it comes to what you need, and that you don’t have to give up everything that you love to live a healthier lifestyle. This southern girl gave up sweet tea, but don’t touch the iced coffee. On this podcast her focus is helping women, just like you, do the work to make self care a priority on a daily basis.
